Description
This is a second-generation deviation. As in, the real copy is sitting on my desk and what you see here is a picture-of-a-picture. I tried the best I could, but it does look better as a print. Lol.
So, as the catagory says, this is the real deal, folks. I shot this picture on my Minalta, developed the film, then printed it in a darkroom. This is one of my favorite shots from that roll- hell, one of my favorite shots, ever. I fell in love with that door.
Taken at Letchworth "Village Home for the Feeble Minded and Epileptics" or so it was called back in the day. An asylum built in 1908, over the years it grew in size and notoriety before it was closed in 1996. A few of the buildings were burned in a fire ten years later, including the library and the building seen above.
This was taken a couple days after Thanksgiving, when my cousin and our friend celebrated her sweet sixteen by, well, running around Letchworth, which is now a "dog park" [there were a couple people with dogs there, in the fields] and a grouping of broken, abandoned buildings.
Of course I fucking love it there. This will probably not be the last darkroom photo I upload, but I'm lazy so I don't know when.

I am amazed by your traditional photography Emma. Your Contrasts are really nice. Traditional photography FTW. I can never be as great as this with photography even though i learned some of it last semester.then again i am an illustration major...i draw compositions.
